Privacy Policy

Effective July 12, 2026

Browsing a therapist directory can say something sensitive about your life, and we treat it that way. TherapistAtlas requires no account, sets no advertising trackers, uses no social media pixels, and never sells or shares data about what you searched or viewed. Here is the full picture in plain English.

What we collect from visitors

You can use every part of this site without creating an account or telling us who you are. Like nearly every website, our servers keep standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and debugging, and we retain them only as long as those purposes require. We use aggregate, privacy-respecting traffic analytics to understand which pages are useful — counts and trends, never advertising profiles of individual visitors.

What we never do

Where listing information comes from

Practitioner listings are built from public records — the federal National Provider Identifier (NPI) registry maintained by CMS, and state licensing board registries such as the New York State Office of the Professions. These records are published by government agencies and include practice addresses and phone numbers as filed by the practitioner. We show them as the public record states them.

If you're a practitioner and want your listing corrected or removed, email hello@therapistatlas.com with your profile link and NPI or license number, and we'll handle it promptly.

Email

If you email us, we keep the correspondence so we can respond and keep our records straight. We don't add you to any list, and we don't share your address.

Cookies

The public site works without cookies. If we ever introduce a feature that needs one (like a therapist login), the cookie will exist for that feature alone, and this policy will say so before it ships.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it, and material changes will be noted on this page. Questions are welcome at hello@therapistatlas.com.
